Project Inspiration

I think Ashley Goldberg is the Queen of pattern! Her beautiful Flickr has over 1,700 designs on it and it's addictive to scroll through. I love all of these simple abstract patterns. She just has such an amazing eye for colour. I have been looking closely at cacti this week in order to create abstract drawings of their patterns and textures, and these prints by Ashley all remind me of cacti in some way. 

I also love the new collection from Ferm Living, including these textured printed cushions. I have been working in monochrome this week and have been enjoying it. The bright highlight of colour on the cording around the edge really adds a finished touch. The "Gracewood" wallpaper has some lovely texture and pattern, too. 

I am currently sitting cosily by the fire at home in London, pinning away. I came home a day early as my train was cancelled on Friday night due to snow. It's like a winter wonderland outside - beautiful! Now off to do some drawing and painting before making a snowman later! Have a lovely weekend! xxx
